One presentation I really enjoyed from yesterday’s class was Hannah Little’s (hlittle1.uneportfolio.org). She showed us pictures of paintings in the Portland Museum of Art that reminded her of hikes she has been on and mountains she’s climbed. I also liked how Hannah shared pictures of hikes she has completed. For this exercise, I highlighted claims, transitions, and key terms from my second paper. I highlighted my claims in green, my key terms in blue, and transitions in gray. Jonah Lehrer’s work “The Future of Science is…Art?” is a very interesting piece of writing that argues how art should be incorporated into science and vice versa. Lehrer discussed how art can improve science and help it progress to a higher understanding of our universe and ourselves. He uses the unanswered questions in the fields of physics and neuroscience to support his argument that incorporating art into science will be beneficial.
